Why Genetic Solutions?
Genetic Solutions is MYGENEDx’s website to provide comprehensive genetic solutions to patients all across the globe. We provide family-centric, personalised counselling, taking into account the social-economic, cultural, psychological and medical status of the patient and their family at large. For every patient, we undertake holistic assessment by collaborating between Clinicians, Laboratories and Patient families. We also provide tele-genetic counselling, doing both online and offline consultations.
Who is a genetic counsellor?
Genetic science is a good competitor for rocket science!; in that, it’s very complex, highly variable, and bears a lot of risks not just for a person but his/her family and even their posterity at large. The complex science behind genetics has kept the world searching and researching for means and methods to prevent and cure genetic disorders, creating an explosion of information that has become difficult to keep up with. Therefore, there is a lack of awareness of the intricacies of finding solutions to genetic problems.
More importantly, genetics is being integrated into the clinical practice of all medical specialities nowadays, and many hospitals and clinics are seeking out the help of genetic counsellors to understand the advancement of genetic science and its actual usage in treating a patient. Thus, genetic counsellors have a crucial role to play, as a liaison between clinicians, laboratories and families, ensuring holistic, problem-solving endeavours.
